“Knock, knock.”
“Hello, how can we help you?”
“Ma’amm, sir, a very nice home you have here.”
“Thank you, but who are you all and why are you all carrying guns?”
“Ma’am, sir, in a manner of speaking you could say we are the new homeowners here.”
“What?”
“Yes, sadly for you we now own your home and we kindly ask that you gather your things and be off our property within the next ten minutes.”
“You have got to be kidding.”
“Agreed, seeing that you are both quite elderly we ask you be off our property within the next fifteen minutes. Hurry on now. Gather what things you can and be on your way.”
“Be on our way, this is our home? Bought and paid for, forty years of work, where we raised our children.”
“All true and noble but nevertheless it no longer is yours.”
“But we have the deed, and we just paid the property taxes for another year.”
“Your deed is no longer a valid legal document. We now hold the true deed and this talk is wasting valuable time that could be better spent gathering your things. You now have thirteen minutes. “
“What? You are going to put us out of our own home, in the freezing rain.”
“You now have eleven minutes, tick tock, tick tock.”
“And if we refuse and we say “No”?”
“Then you will understand why we carry our guns.”
“We’re going to call the law.”
“Sadly for you sir and ma’am, we are the law.”
